Refund Policy

At CodeBazaar we take buyer satisfaction seriously, but we also recognize that digital items have particularities. This Policy describes when a refund is eligible, how to request one, and how the process is conducted.

1. General Principle

Because Items are digital products delivered immediately upon payment, they are not subject to a generic cooling-off right once the content has been downloaded, except in the specific cases below.

2. When a refund IS eligible

You may request a refund when:

  1. The Item does not work as described and the Author fails to provide a fix within a reasonable period (up to 10 business days after the ticket).
  2. The Item is substantially different from the description, screenshots or demo.
  3. The Item contains proven malicious code, malware or backdoors.
  4. The Item infringes third-party intellectual property and is removed from the Platform.
  5. Accidental duplicate charge.
  6. Purchase made by third parties without authorization (in case of proven fraud).

3. When a refund is NOT eligible

We do not grant refunds when:

  • You simply changed your mind after downloading the Item.
  • The Item does not meet a specific need not documented in the description.
  • You lack the technical knowledge required to install / run the Item (the stack is declared on the page).
  • Incompatibility with systems, frameworks or versions not listed as supported.
  • Request made more than 30 days after purchase.
  • The Item was purchased in a promotion marked as "final sale".

4. How to request

  1. Go to your Purchase Portal β†’ select the Item β†’ "Request support".
  2. Describe the issue in detail, attaching screenshots, logs and steps to reproduce.
  3. Wait for the Author to reply (deadline: 5 business days).
  4. If the response is unsatisfactory or absent, escalate to the CodeBazaar Mediation team by clicking "Open dispute".

5. Review and Decision

The Mediation team reviews the case within 10 business days, hearing both buyer and Author. The decision considers:

  • Evidence submitted.
  • Track record of the Author and the Item.
  • The Item's technical documentation.

The Mediation decision is final on the Platform. Further disputes may be conducted through applicable legal channels.

6. Refund method

Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days after the decision, via the same payment method used in the purchase. Credit-card refunds may appear in the subsequent statement, depending on the issuer.

Upon approval, the Item license is revoked and you must stop all use and destroy downloaded copies.

7. Partial refund

In cases where the Item delivers partial value (for example, one module out of five works perfectly), a proportional partial refund or Platform credit may be offered, subject to buyer acceptance.
