CodeBazaar Standard License

Each Item published on CodeBazaar is licensed to the buyer under one of two modalities: Regular License or Extended License. The applicable modality is the one selected at checkout and recorded on the order receipt.

1. Regular License

Grants the buyer ("Licensee") a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide license to use the Item in a single end product (an application, website, theme or distinct project) for personal or commercial use, provided that the end users do not pay specifically to access the Item or features delivered by it.

Included:

  • Use in 1 (one) end product.
  • Modification of source code for the licensed project.
  • Use in development, staging and production environments of that project.

Not included:

  • Resale, sublicense or redistribution of the Item or substantial parts of its source code.
  • Use in multiple unrelated end products.
  • Inclusion in template / boilerplate kits sold to third parties.

2. Extended License

Grants the same rights as the Regular License, also allowing the end product to be a paid product whose end users pay specifically to access the Item or features delivered by it (e.g. SaaS, paid mobile app, premium plugin).

Limits:

  • Still restricted to 1 (one) end product.
  • Resale of source code as a standalone Item remains prohibited.

3. Allowed Modifications

Licensee may modify, adapt and create derivative works for the licensed end product. Modifications do not generate rights over the original Item, which remains the property of the Author.

4. Attribution

Attribution is not required in the end product's public interface but is welcome. Removing copyright notices from the source code is prohibited.

5. Updates

The license includes access to updates of the same Item version published by the Author for 12 months from the purchase date. Subsequent major versions may require a new acquisition.

6. Term and Termination

The license is granted in perpetuity, except in cases of refund, fraud or material breach by Licensee, in which case CodeBazaar may revoke the license.

7. Warranty Disclaimer

Items are provided "as is", without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, security or non-infringement of third-party rights. Author and Platform are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the Item.

8. Audit

CodeBazaar may, with prior notice, request the Licensee to demonstrate compliance with this License in case of substantiated suspicion of breach.

9. Applicable Law

This License is governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Conflicts shall be settled at the Court of São Paulo/SP.
