Author Terms

These Terms govern the relationship between CodeBazaar ("Platform") and the Authors who publish digital Items for sale.

1. Eligibility

To become an Author you must:

  • Be over 18 years of age (or have proper legal representation).
  • Provide truthful registration data, including identity and bank details for payouts.
  • Hold full intellectual property rights over the Items submitted.

2. Submission and Review

  1. Each Item is submitted via the dashboard and goes through editorial review (functional, security and quality).
  2. Review typically takes up to 5 business days.
  3. Approval is at the Platform's sole discretion. Rejections are explained and may be re-submitted after corrections.

3. Commission and Payment

  • The Author receives 70% (seventy percent) of the net value of each completed sale.
  • The Platform retains 30% (thirty percent) as a commission for hosting, payment processing, dispute mediation and marketing services.
  • Net value = gross sale minus payment-gateway fees, taxes withheld at source and approved refunds.

3.1 Payout

  • Available balances are released 30 days after the sale (security window for refund / chargeback).
  • Minimum payout: R$ 100.00 (or equivalent in supported currencies).
  • Payment occurs monthly, via PIX (BR) or international bank transfer, on the 5th business day of the following month.

4. Author Obligations

The Author commits to:

  • Provide technical support to buyers within 5 business days.
  • Keep the Item up to date in terms of security and stated compatibility.
  • Publish a changelog for each new version.
  • Not promote the Item using misleading or deceptive practices.
  • Comply with all applicable laws, including data protection, copyright and consumer protection.

5. Granted Rights

By publishing an Item, the Author grants CodeBazaar a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

  • Host, distribute, advertise and sell the Item under the License chosen by the buyer.
  • Display screenshots, partial code and Author information for marketing purposes.
  • Sub-license the Item to end buyers under the Standard License terms.

The Author retains the original copyright over the Item.

6. Suspension and Removal

The Platform may suspend or remove Items that:

  • Violate third-party rights.
  • Contain malicious code, plagiarism or copy of an existing Item.
  • Are abandoned (no updates / support for 90 days with open tickets).
  • Receive a recurring pattern of substantiated complaints.

7. Anti-Fraud Policy

Manipulation of reviews, sales (self-purchase), inflation of metrics or any conduct that distorts the Platform results in:

  1. Immediate suspension.
  2. Forfeiture of pending balances.
  3. Communication to the competent authorities, when applicable.

8. Termination

The Author may close the account at any time, complying with current support and refund obligations. Balances eligible for payout will be processed within 90 days.

9. Term Changes

Material changes will be communicated with 30 days notice. Continued publication after that period implies acceptance.
